On Saturday 22nd June we held our latest walk through the Cemetery.
The walk was led by Tony Foster and concentrated on the Women of Darwen who are buried in the Cemetery, this included the true story of one of our better known graves “the White Lady” Martha Jane Bury.
Although the weather was very hit and miss with heavy rain on minute and then sunshine the next, the 25 or so who braved the weather to go on the walk enjoyed the 1 hour talk on the women of Darwen.
